Adam’s MacBook Pro (2), Connected Pasted text.txt Pasted text.txt TXT picking up from the other color managment thread here to not have you reread the long text and all the images I've shared. here is the current site wise code we are currently using Picking up a site-wide color management conversation. Picking up a site-wide color management conversation. I’ve got the v9 code. I can’t see the other thread, so I don’t know where the color management discussion left off. As it stands, nothing in this code touches image color. The only colors it sets are the lightbox background ( #383838), the scrollbar track and thumb, and the touch-screen scroll indicator. It doesn’t apply any filters, blend modes or opacity to the images themselves, so if photos look different on the site than in your editing software, the cause is in the image files or in how Squarespace processes them, not in this code. What was the last thing you’d decided or wanted to try? A couple of sentences is enough, for example “images look desaturated in Safari but fine in Chrome” or “we were about to switch exports to sRGB,” and I’ll pick it up from there. i see, didn't realize you had no view into that other thread. that's fine and all color managment issues are currently solved. we've been teaking the css code for the main site and a few of the individual pages have their own custom css. but we've been trying to bake that into the main css whenever possible. the next thing I would like to look at is the way the images "flash" between one another on the lightbox viewing. that "custon transition" was generated with gemini and is in the global css code that you wrote. I'd like to remove that and see what the default is. is there a way to alter it within setting and not need css? Pinpointed the CSS animation rule to delete for the fix. Pinpointed the CSS animation rule to delete for the fix. To remove it, delete these two lines from the “Site basics” section: css .gallery-lightbox-item[data-active="true"] { animation: akSmoothSlide .4s cubic-bezier(.25,1,.5,1) forwards !important; } @keyframes akSmoothSlide { 0% { transform: translateX(30px); opacity: 0; } 100% { transform: translateX(0); opacity: 1; } } Leave the rest of that section alone, including the .gallery-lightbox-background line above them, since that sets your dark gray backdrop. Save, then open a gallery in the lightbox and click between a few images to see Squarespace’s default. As for a setting: as far as I know, Squarespace 7.1 doesn’t have a control for the lightbox transition. The lightbox settings I’m aware of cover things like turning it on or off for a gallery and the overlay and controls colors under Site Styles. None of them cover how images animate between each other. Squarespace does change its settings panels from time to time, so it’s worth a quick look in Site Styles under the lightbox options. If there’s nothing about transitions there, CSS is the only way to change it. If the default looks fine, you’re done, and the global code is two lines shorter. If it still flashes, the flash may be built into Squarespace’s own fade, and we can soften it with a small CSS change. Let me know what you see. can you just paste an entire new code here for me to copy and paste into it? Here’s the full code with the two transition lines removed. I’ve also bumped the version label to v10 so you can tell the two apart. html
